Crestwood Manor Assisted Living Facility

Crestwood Manor ALF Residence

Crestwood Manor ALF is the "little place with a big heart".  Our residents feel right at home, because we know the importance of having a place to call "home", that feels like home.  Our decor is personal,  warm and familiar.  Community areas are well-lit or filled with sunshine. Spacious open areas allow for activities, and all personal living spaces allow for residents to bring some existing furniture, pictures, collectables/ keepsakes and personal items.  Outdoor walking paths, patios and a gazebo offer temptations to enjoy the sunshine on our campus, during most of the year. Crestwood Manor is our home. We welcome you or your loved one to make it your home too.

Crestwood Manor ALF  has been in business for over 10 years, purchased by Clarke Quality Care in 2008.  We are a small assisted living facility, with plans to stay that way. Our residents enjoy a small family-like home. We have 12 to 16 residents at any time. We maintain a high staff to resident ratio, with both care staff and housekeeping on-site 24 hours a day.  We are here to assist our residents and we do it very well.  The owner, Marie Clarke makes it a practice to live, eat and sleep at Crestwood Manor ALF two nights per week.  Several of our long-term staff members live on-site, full time, as well.   If you are interested in making your home, our home, contact Laura at 941-474-5456 to arrange a visit and tour. [Call during business hours, please]

The Crestwood Manor campus  is located in a pastoral setting, on 5.7 acres of land,  within  one mile of Englewood Community Hospital and less than 5 minutes drive to area shopping, recreation and entertainment.  We are less that 1/2 mile from the main artery connecting with I-75. Family and friends can easily visit from Tampa, Sarasota, Venice, Northport or Fort Myers Florida.

Crestwood Manor ALF has very limited space, so we can offer a special level of care to our residents. We have 7 private rooms, where residents can bring [limited] existing furniture and decorate. Our waiting list has two "couples" rooms, for married seniors who find that one or both of them need non-medical daily assistance, without over-burdening or physically stressing their spouse .  We also have two semi-private rooms, with two residents per room. This option offers an economical alternative to those single seniors looking for a home atmosphere, with a quieter, more relaxed environment and less anonymous staff.   All of our rooms are exceptionally clean, maintained by a housekeeping staff on- site 24 hours a day. All rooms are fully furnished, but residents can, and do decorate their rooms with private furnishings as they wish.  Housekeeping and laundry are provided daily.

Crestwood Manor ALF provides assisted living with personal care and daily chores by a team of long-term, reliable staff members who are friendly, helpful and come to care for each new resident.  We learn the likes and needs of each resident and strive to meet those "wants" in addition to daily "needs".  We address all of our residents' needs with ambulation, dressing, bathing, nutritious meals and snacks, supervision or "reminders" about medications, and all daily living activities...as a regular part of each day's routine.

Crestwood Manor ALF  staff members are family too.  Each employee is carefully screened, licensed by the state of Florida and undergoes a thorough training process to prepare them for their role in the life of our residents.  We genuinely care about caring for others. The positive constant interaction and on-going relationships between our staff and our residents make it easier to offer the correct and appropriate level of assisted living care to each individual resident.

Crestwood Manor ALF always tries to keep our fees reasonable. We believe our charges are equal to or lower than many other assisted living facilities in the area.  The lifestyle difference is our small campus life, the personal services and special attention to our residents, which far exceed the expectations of those who have moved to Crestwood Manor from other "bigger" care facilities. We are an affordable home for seniors [or a senior couple] in need of daily assistance, but not the level of care requiring a nursing home. Â  Our fee structure is kept simple, with few options for additional charges. All care services are included in your pre-determined, monthly charge.

Note: Monthly fees do not include Medication costs or Special Needs Care.

Crestwood Manor ALF accepts private pay and participates in several government or insurance funded programs that may assist you in paying all or part of the resident fees. We are licensed by the state of Florida [ AL#7293] and the Federal government to participate in the Medicaid Diversion program to provide appropriate assisted living care to senior adults.  The Veterans Administration  Aid and Attendance Pension benefit is available for Veterans or their widows.  To qualify, the veteran must have served in the military during a period of war, had an honorable discharge, and cannot have assets over $80,000 (excluding the home). ). Also, we accept long-term care insurance and worker’s compensation insurance.

Call Laura in the Crestwood Manor ALF office at (941) 474-5456  to see if you qualify for these and other programs, that may help with a portion of our monthly fees. We are always working to "stay current" and familiar with the qualifications and application processes. We can offer some advice and guidance, since we do this paperwork regularly.

Ask about the availability of space for 24-hour Respite Care. Crestwood Manor Assisted Living Residence can assist you with short term stays, when you require professional assistance in a safe environment, for several days, a couple of weeks or a few months.
